EYE OF ANIMATION
International competition for children. It provides a venue for children from all over the world to exhibit their best works of animation.
The competition is joined by workshops and schools working with animation as a learning tool or an artistic tool for children. We start out with a few participants and will gradually over the next years include children from more countries.
If you want to take part in the competition, please contact the Eye of Animation.
The participating films must meet the following demands:
• Animation or mix with animation
• Duration: Just a few minutes (or less)
• Made by children up to 15 years old
• Music free to use
• Internationally understandable
• Deadline 2013 to be announced
The jury will emphasize a good story and visual expression. We hope to get films that are understandable due to their visual expression or English language. But these first few years we will accept if some of the films are not quite so internationally orientated. Please send films in Quicktime if possible.
Each country can send us their six best animation shorts, or they send us more and The Animation Workshop will then choose the six best shorts and upload them on this website. In November our jury will pick a winner. The selected films will be asked for a short description of each film, and if you like you can also send us photos of the children working with animation or of the characters, puppets or backgrounds.
